My good friend Justin got a chance to see Harry Potter today and offered to write a review for me. Here is Justin's review of Harry Potter....

On Friday ,November 19, 2010 I went to see the first part of the epic finale of Harry Potter. “The Deathly Hollows” clocks in at two hours and thirty five minutes, however it felt like a very short film because of the large-scale action packed scenes and the phenomenal special effects. Having read the legendary books and also seen all the movies I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. This summer I took a trip to the Harry Potter Theme Park at Universal Studios, Florida and got to experience all the great things that go on in the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter, After seeing the sets I felt ready for the movie to come out and thought it was well done.

The movie opens up with Hermione Granger A.K.A. Emma Watson being forced to erase her parents memory. After the very moving scene, we follow Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) , Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) around England in their grueling search for Voldemort’s Horocruxes.

David Yates explains the story well in this phenomenon so if you haven’t read the books you should be able to understand, but only if you have seen the other movies.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows : Part 1 is rated Pg-13 for strong violence and adult themes

Halloween Movies

I am a GIANT Halloween junkie. It's my favorite holiday and I decorate and dress up and drive everyone around me insane with Halloween crap. But of course, I am also deeply into Halloween movies. My top movie is "The Nightmare before Christmas"because I can throw it on and watch it non-stop through till Christmas. It's a bi-holiday film and it's wonderful. I also really love "Hocus Pocus" because I have an odd obsession with the Salem witch trials. The only paper I have ever gotten an A+ on was on the Salem witch trials.

Generally, I lean more to the silly, goofy Halloween movies more then the super scary, gruesome stuff. I first watched "Poltergeist" at age 7 and let's just say, it left an impression. This year I have been eying "Paranormal Activity 2" but I have to admit I never saw the first one. I have seen the "Blair Witch Project" and I laughed through the whole thing. So what are you're favorite Halloween movie? Do you need to be scared or just a little spooked?

Ok, so it's been about 3 weeks since I did a Music Video Monday post and I'll be honest with you, it's because right now music videos suck. So this week I, in honor of this Holiday (This Holiday being the one where we celebrate the stupidity of attempting to get anywhere before the invention of the GPS) I pulled out an old one from Rob Thomas. There is a lot of stuff going on in our world right now. War, mudslides, money issues and a LOT of hate is being tossed around and it's no good. I like this music video because it makes me happy and makes me want to spread that happiness so I present it to you in the hopes that it will put you in a good mood and you will in turn, spread your good mood to others like the swine flu. I know everyone is annoyed by this or doesn't understand it but the bottom line is brilliant. For a year, everyone has been wondering what the hell was going on with Joaquin Phoenix and now we finally know it was all a stunt. Many suspected it was but were unable to confirm it but Casey Affleck spilled the beans to the New York Times. When you think about it, the whole thing is pretty amazing and has done more to market the film then any of the trailers. If you want to actually do something insane and base the award system on talent and believability of an actor while he portrays a role, then I think this guy should get an Oscar.

For those of you who don't know the term, "Jumping the shark" it's the term used to describe when a show has gone too far into the red zone. According to Wikipedia it was a man named Sean J. Connolly who came up with the phrase after the Fonz literally jumped over a shark in a three part "Happy Days" special (video here). This ridiculous act did not end the show but it did kill the show. The shark jump was a sign that things had gone too far, were out of control and the show had just plain lost it's hootspa. Over the years many shows have the one episode that is referred to as the one where they "jumped the shark". Some would say it was the musical episode of Scrubs. Others would say it was when Desperate Housewives opened their season with a 5 year jump after the last season had ended. From this point on whenever anyone asks me the definition of jumping the shark, I will answer with one word: Fairy.
There are many people asking Why, today. Why did Alan Ball do this? Why did the writers at HBO write this? Why didn't the powers the be at HBO stop this? We will never know the answer. Perhaps the brilliant Mr. Ball has a plan. A plan that will make this all ok. And if he does then I will forgive him but right now, it's still too fresh. I'm still looking to the heavens and scratching my head. I read the True Blood books (ok, just the first one but whatever) so I knew the basis of what was suppose to happen. But I trusted Alan Ball to take the series and honestly do it better justice then the author of the books did. For a while it seemed that Ball was on the right track. He saved Lafayette from death (that was suppose to be him in the back of that car) and he ignored Vampire Elvis (Oh yes, Elvis was alive and well and had a appetite for house cats) Alan Ball is still my hero for leaving that out. So last week when Sookie awakes from her coma in a fairy version of Bon Temps Cemetery surrounded by tutu clad hippies, I did one of those epic moments of horrible realization where I actually went out loud, "No....no....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY? (insert dramatic sob) WHY!?!" By the time Sunday rolled around I had progressed to the anger stage of my acceptance. This week when Bill tells Sookie of her true identity (Shes a FAIRY!!!) I simply had a small hallucination where I saw the Fonz, Allen Ball along with Sookie and Bill all jump over a man eating shark while doing one of those human triangle things on water skis. It was quite dramatic, the Fonz waved to me and Alan Ball flipped me off.

Let me level with you, I'm an un-employed 27 year old chick with an affinity for vampires and junk TV. I will watch just about anything. I might be totally wrong and in the minority on this entire idea and perhaps True Blood has built up such a following that it can withstand the current stupidity it's undergoing but I stand by what I said and when asked I will say it again. And if I ever meet Alan Ball I will tell him the same. Last night was the night True Blood jumped the shark and as far as shark jumping goes it was one hell of a jump.

I don't swim in the ocean. I haven't since the age of five. I don't even stand in the water at the beach above my knees. When I was five I watched Jaws for the first time and needles to say, it made an impression. So when I saw this trailer, I thought: "Oh yay, I never liked swimming in lakes anyway..." I can't see this movie though truthfully if I was drunk I think it would be hilarious. On second thought, maybe Ill take a chance. But somebody else see it first and tell me if it's really scary. Ok?

Anywho, the cupcake is back and ready for action and this week the cupcake goes to John C. Reilly. You know who he is, he's that guy from that movie that you love but who's name you cannot remember. He is awesome. He makes you laugh and he can make you cry. He sings. He's like a big over grown man-child who you kinda wish was your uncle instead of the guy that is your uncle. We loved him in Talladega Nights and feared him in Gangs of New York (yeah, that was him). He's been around for over 20 years and if there is a god, he'll be around for 20 more. Oh True Blood, just when I think you're getting good you go and F things up. Since I know someone who reads the books, I know where this season is going and trust me, it's just a giant cluster muck. I had such faith in Alan Ball to take this crappy book series and turn it into something great and right now I find myself wonder a deep question. Is it better to be surprised when a show jumps the shark or to know it's going to happen in advance so you have ample time to say goodbye and grieve? I wish I didn't know where this was going but I do. I won't ruin it for you. Besides, maybe some of you like fairies... oops.

Yes, in the future Music video Monday will be on a Monday. But today it's on a Wednesday because it's my blog and I can do that. Each week I will pick a music video and either praise it or bash it horribly. And my dear Drake, today is your day. Drake, who use to be Jimmy on Degrassi and who's real name is Aubrey has this new music video that just baffles me. I'll admit that although I don't like the song it does get stuck in my head the minuet I hear it but I refuse to like this music video. Why? Because I plain just don't understand it. He loves this girl. The girl belongs to a war lord or something. They bone anyway. The war lord finds out. Drake goes, "But I just have to see her one last time." War Lord finds out. Drake gets captured. War lord has girl who slept with Drake pop him in the back of the head. Find Your Love scrolls across screen. I am lost. Was she really in love with Drake or just doing dirty work for the war lord? Is Drake really dead? Was it worth it? So many questions for a song I don't even like. Whatever, watch it and tell me what you think...

For years I have been bitter. Horribly bitter. See, my brother and I both have favorite Disney theme park rides and both those rides were made into movies. My brothers ride was made into 3 movies starring one of the most amazing actors on the planet and my ride was made into a flop starring Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Tillys head. I was bitter. But today the movie gods have smiled upon me and granted my ride a second chance. Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) announced today at Comic Con that he will be directing a new Hunted Mansion film that won't star Eddie Murphy or the head of someone. Joy.

Blessed be the Title change

I blogged about this movie about a year ago. It was filmed in my neighborhood for 3 weeks and ruined my life. Because of Jason Bateman's tailer being parked on my street, I now have to walk my dog an extra block. But what really bothered me about this movie was the title: The Baster. As in a turkey baster. As in, this chick decided she is done attempting to find a man and decided to do it herself and has a baby with the help of a turkey baster!!!!! You smell that? That's the stench of Hollywood garbage. But anyway, the powers that be were at least smart enough to change the title so when you hear it you don't promptly vomit. It's been re-titled "The Switch" since the idea is Anistons best friend Bateman switches out the donor sperm for his own (No really, I couldn't make this up.) The result is a little f'd up bundle of joy and a horrible romantic comedy about best friends who realized 10 years after the fact that they are totally in love with each other and have a kid. I have provided a trailer for you in case you doubt my theory about this being horrible beyond description but I think it's gonna be like that chick you slept with in college, if you drink enough it might start to look good. I for one don't think it's worth the hangover. What do you think?

I accidentally fell in love with Ke$ha

I accidentally fell in love Ke$ha after catching her performance on SNL this past Saturday. Of course I had heard her hit "Tic toc" and I really like it. It's one of those songs that is played over and over again on the radio but never becomes annoying (or just hasn't yet). But she sang her new single "Your Love is My Drug" and both the song and the performance were awesome. I tend to judge artists based on their SNL performance and I was skeptical of Ke$ha because she tends to synthesize her voice on a lot of her tracks. I have always thought of synthesizing as a way to mask the fact that your voice sucks but that's not the case with Ke$ha. She has a great voice. I also liked that right before her performance she looks noticeably nervous. I found that very enduring since she is so young but exudes a tough girl exterior. So after hearing "Your Love is my Drug) I hopped on to iTunes and downloaded the entire album and I have to say I am really enjoying it. I am particularly fond of the track "Stephen" and the track "Animal". It's not thinking music which is to say, you put it on and rock out around the house or in the car. I really enjoy it and I hope she sticks around for a while because she seems like a real talent.

I am beyond happy that Peter Facinelli's star is rising. He has been around since 1995 and appeared in dozens of movies/ shows. My heart just breaks a little when a very talented person gets recognized for a absolutely horrible movie. It hurts my heart. He is amazing in Show Times Nurse Jackie. Why can't he get props for that? That is talent. I love Vampires, I really do but it seems that anyone rockin' fangs gets attention and it's sad. Robert Pattinson doesn't shower. He SMELLS. Life on the Discovery Channel

I caught a part Life on the Discovery Channel last night. I LOVE these multi-part presentations but when I first heard about life I was confused. Didn't Planet Earth just come out last year? I mean, personally I'll watch hours upon hours of this stuff. I eat it up like candy but not everyone else is a freak like me. To the average viewer this is probably going to come across as the same content in a different package, right? Last night, which is the only night I have seen so far, was not the best night to start watching Life. It a nut shell I watched an hour of bizarre reptilian courting and mating habits. More then once I felt as if I was watching a lizard version of Law and Order SVU because apparently in the reptile Kingdom it's a beat the girl up and take what you want, type of thing. It left me a little scarred to say the least. The production value and amazing action shots are enough for me to give Life a second chance. I also love the production extras they add at the end of eat episode. Two camera men talked about following a Komodo dragon for seven days as it poisoned, stalked and ultimately took down a buffalo. Life is an eleven part series airing on the Discovery Channel Sundays at 8. For more check out Discovery.com

So today I check the top stories and it's the same as yesterday except for one giant exception. Well, she use to be giant but then she started "working out". So, I have been seeing ads for this new VH1 show. VH1 has sort of become the home of the cheesy reality TV show but this new show looks like it might be really good. It's called The Price of Beauty and it's basically Jessica Simpson and friends traveling around the world and learning how different cultures define beauty. Of course this is in response to the body criticism Jessica Simpson has been getting but I think it might be one of the best responses ever. You think I'm fat and ugly? Well maybe in Africa I'm equal to a Super model. I like the idea of this show and I hope it's as good as it lets on. I have never really cared much to Jessica Simpson but she has gained point in my book for this mature move in during with body image crap. Check out the trailer and the show premiers tonight at 10!

You know how Avatar was like a feast for your eyes? It was colorful and amazing and just all around visually pleasing. Simple put; it's porn for the eye ball. Lady Gaga's music video for her new (and already disgustingly overplayed) single Telephone is the complete opposite of that. It's sexual assault for the eye ball. It's raw and dirty and dark and leaves your eyes feeling dirty and used. After viewing this video your eyes will need counseling and possibly STD tests. The only good thing to come out of it is that after seeing it, there is no doubt that Gaga is a chick. But my eyes ask, was that knowledge worth the price? Oh and Beyonce shows up also.

I think it's hilarious that Lindsay is suing E-trade for depicting her in baby form for a commercial. Apparently since her name is Lindsay and the babies name is Lindsay and a "Milkaholic" it must be about her. I love this commercial. I've seen it a bunch of times and I didn't even know the babies name was Lindsay until Lindsay Lohan decided to sue E-Trade for MILLIONS of dollars. She also got fired from that fashion thing she was doing which I can't get into because I have no idea what it is and don't really care enough to google it. Here is the E-trade commercial. 80's Actor Corey Haim dies at 38

Corey Haim is dead. That is not a way to wake up late on a Wednesday, let me tell you. But it's a sad reality this morning when Corey Haim died outside L.A. early this morning. Though details are sketchy right now, what is clear is Haim had a long and public battle with addiction that killed his career.
Haim became famous from roles like, Lucas and The Lost Boys and many predicted great things for the young star but in recent years had become somewhat of a joke in Hollywood along with his super frenemy Corey Feldmen. The two who met on the set of Lost Boys and had a rocky friendship through the years even starring in a reality TV show The Two Coreys in 2008.

We have all made jokes about the Coreys and about washed up teen actors turned druggie has been. We find humor in it so we don't have to deal with how tragic it is when talented people get sucked into a hole that robs them of their abilities and sadly sometimes their lives. Out thoughts and prayers should go out to Haims family and hope that his death somehow inspires others to seek help in fighting their addiction. Is it just me or is Mo ‘Nique’s head just a little bit over inflated? I get that she was amazing in Precious and I understand that she has worked so hard for this but all her overly gracious speeches every time she wins an award are starting to make me gag. Want really did it for me was her post win interview which I unfortunately can’t find a video clip of. It was so over the top. Sandra Bullock has done the impossible. Her Oscar win for Best Actress last night comes just after her win for Worst Actress at the 2010 Razzies. That’s right, Sandra Bullock is both the Best and the Worst Actress of 2010! That takes a great deal of talent to pull off a double whammy like that, and better yet, She attended BOTH awards. Very few celebs show up in person to collect their Razzie but Bullock did and even posed for a victory shot. Her Oscar win however was much more emotional even gaining tears from her husband, Jessie James.

March 5 is a very important date. It is the release of the latest Tim Burton joint, Alice in Wonderland.Alice will be Burtons 3rd film for Disney and his 7th with good friend Johnny Depp who will play the Mad Hatter. In actuality Alice in Wonderland is a combination of two books in one(Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. This explains why Johnny Depp is all over the movie trailer. Although my love for the Burton/Depp combo runs deep it has proved flawed in the past. 2005s Charlie and the Chocolate factory left many reviewers questioning the similarities between Michael Jackson and Depps portrayal of the eccentric candy man, Willy Wonka.

Burtons Alice in Wonderland dives deeper into the rabbit hole where we not only not only meet the treasured characters through new Burton eyes but watch as Alice is tossed caught between a war between two queenly sisters played by Anne Hathaway and Mrs. Burton to be Helen Bonham Carter.

There is very little doubt in my mind that Burton will deliver an amazing interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. Burton is just the person needed to bring a time-honored classic into the new age. Burton is often accused of going over the top but with a story like this that seems quite impossible.

The Wolfman, starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins, is a legitimate horror film. In the days of over the top gore films like Saw and Hostil, It's nice to see a horror film with that reminds you of the horror films of old. The story is weak but the suspense and build up are perfect and you just cannot go wrong with Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. It is well worth the money and will leave you with chills. Out of 5 Cupcakes, I give it 3 and a half. See it.

I watch awards shows much like a man watches a sports game. I yell, I sigh in disbelief and I have been known to throw things. I make no apologies because award show season, at least for me, is a sport and tonight is the first game of the season: The Golden Globes. There have been some amazing films and performances this year and tonight we will get a first glimpse of the seasons favorites.

Now I know some actors say that they don’t care about winning or losing but much like a quarter back, the awards one will receive tonight and onward will directly effect their asking price for upcoming films. Especially for actresses such Up in the Air’s Anna Kendrick who’s price has most likely already increased based on praise and good reviews alone. She is nominated for Best supporting and I wouldn’t be surprised if she wins. George Clooney is nominated for Best Actor for the same film. He is up against Jeff Bridges who has gotten rave reviews for his performance in Crazy Heart.

I am thankful that the Golden Globes separates best performance in a Drama and Comedy. This clears the path for Sandra Bullock to take the win for performance in a drama and Meryl Streep to take the win in comedy for Julie & Julia.

As far as TV goes I will be livid if Glee does not win every category it’s nominated in, especially Glee’s Jane Lynch though Chloe Sevigny could give her a run for her money. She kicked in last seasons Big Love. HBO’s Gray Gardens should win for best TV mini series and Jessica Lange should win for her performance in it. Kevin Bacon is, as far as I am concerned a shoe in for Best male performance for Taking Chance. I also think Big Love will win best TV Drama. I doubt HBO is going home empty handed though I do believe Jeremy Piven will again. Edie Falco should win for her performance in Nurse Jackie. And of hopefully this will be NPH’s year for his supporting role in How I met your Mother but he is up against John Lithgow for his performance in this season of Dexter.

I fear is that Avatar will take every category it’s nominated for which I believe is a shame. If you want to talk about special effects and cinematography that’s a different story but overall Avatar is wear in both acting and directing.

So these are my predictions for the Golden Globes which air tonight and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais. I will be twitting through out the awards (from my couch) and I might even video blog so you get a real idea of just how seriously I take this. Let me know what you think.

She calls it “Vajazzling”. I have to admit that I love this. Talk about female empowerment. The first Cupcake of 2010 goes to none other then Conan O'Brian. C-Dog is getting a raw deal from The Man, (The powers that be at NBC) and he isn't taking it sitting down! O'Brian says that NBC's attempt to push back The Late Show to 12:05 "will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting." And he is probibly right. Conan has go to great great length to keep with between him and the Network and has said nothing attacking Jay Leno. Conan does state that he will leave the show if NBC continues with the push back.

Conan addressed his fans and it was done so testefully. I give him props and I hope NBC re-thinks their plans. In any event, this weeks Cupcake goes to Conan O'Brian for handleing this so well and continuing to rock. I will not accept his apology for his hair though.

That Kourtney Kardashian arranged the birth of her son to coincide with the premier of Keeping up with the Kardashians? KUK premiered on Sunday and we found a family in turmoil. Not everyone was thrilled about Kourts baby daddy but everyone except Khloe put their differences aside to see the sonogram and learn the babies sex. It’s a boy by the way. The episode ends with Khloe smacking baby daddy in the face (I’m deliberately not bothering to use his real name. First off let me just say that I love that when Kate cries, she really cries. She goes all out. Dramatic pauses, deep mournful sighs, looks off as if remembering all the happy days of money and free tummy tucks. But what always stays the same is her eye make up. It NEVER runs or smudges or even moves. It's as if someone smacked it on there and used acrylic spray on her face so it never comes off. She cried through her entire special on Monday night and used like 10 tissues and they all came away clean! Its magic I tell you! When I become famous I want that person doing my make up.

Ok, I am in love with these people again. As if this all wasn't bad enough that Jon and Kate bickered all the time, had 8 kids, made a bunch of money off those kids, had tummy tucks and hair replacement, bickered some more, moved, bought puppies, got rid of puppies, divorced, dated a 22 year old and moved in to my neighborhood (P.S. Jon I swear if I ever see you at Farway I am going to kick you so hard!) The level 10 hot mess that is J&K Plus 8 has just hit 11. After being booted from the TLC show that got him his hair, his mansion and his new Girlfriend, Jon had retaliated and kicked the TLC film crew out of his house. We all wondered why Jon halted his divorce proceedings early this week and apperently this is it. Jon is insisting that for the sake of his children (Because now their wellfare is a concern) he can no longer allow them to be filmed. His laywer has submitted two letters to TLC insisting filming for the show cease at once. He has also posted signs on his lawn in case they did'nt get the message.

So basically Jon has realized we all hate him and that Kate will get everything and no one will watch a show about him running around NYC being a dead beat dad and this is how he is handeling it. I never know which of these parents to hate. Jon is obveously a giant moron and jackoff and I think Kate might be cousins with the devil. I was going to side with the dogs because they were so cute. Remember when Nala ate the toy horse? How cute was that!?! But I think I am going to have to go back to my orginal stants and side with Aaden(Thats the one with the glasses). He really never cared about what the hell was going on. He had his bucket and his glasses and that was all he needed. He's a chill dude so I'm siding with him. Doctors have ruled DJ Am's death an accidental overdose. I am in no way a medical expert but I find it hard to believe that someone accidentally takes Cocaine, OxyContin, Hydrocodone or Vicodin, Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Benadryl, and Levamisole. Nine different types of drugs all at one time.

DJ Am who's real name is Adam Goldstein was found dead in his NYC apartment a month ago. Drugs were in the apartment and Goldstein had a history of drug problems.

Now, I am totally friends of the over-share. What would I blog about if people didn't talk way to much and do really weird things. But this is a prime example of going to far. Mackenzie Phillips, daughter of John Phillips from the Momma's and the Papa's has come out with a new book and in this new book she says she had a sexual relationship with her father. SHE SLEPT WITH HER OWN FATHER!!!...ON PURPOSE...FOR YEARS!!! Who shares that!?! Who tells the world that type of information? Phillips says this relationship lasted through her marriage to another man and only ended when she became pregnant and didn't know who the father was. She terminated the pregnancy and ended the sleeping with daddy.

Ok, so I read this and I flipped out inside. Why? Because I immediately went, "What! No! She's EVIL!" This is a powerful testament to Chloë Sevigny's acting ability because I just assume she is Nikki from "Big Love". Those were the words used by my brother to describe "Jennifer's Body". We saw the film this afternoon and all I can say is that maybe if I had been under the influence of alcohol then maybe I would have enjoyed it more.

This movie is about best friends in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. Jennifer is the super hot cheerleader, played by Megan Fox and "Needy" is her best friend since the sand box, played by Amanda Seyfried. Basically through a bit of cross communication, Jennifer is sacrificed to the devil which would be fine if she was a virgin. And here is where I found my first issue with the film: How would anyone look at Megan Fox and think she was a virgin? I don't think she was EVER a virgin. I think she popped out of the womb rockin' 3 STDs and that Marylin Monroe tattoo that bothers me to no end.

So Jennifer is a demon in a hot body and she discovers that to maintain this hot body she must ingest the flesh of High School boys. Needy knows something is very wrong but shrugs it off and manages to find time amidst all the carnage to lose her own virginity to her boy friend in a scene that flips between awkward first time sex and Fox chewing out a guys stomach while Akon's " I wanna love you" plays in the back round ( This would be funny if you were drunk, but your not).

At this point in the movie my brother starts to shift and sigh and later admits to me that he contemplated walking out of the film. I did too but I wanted to give Deablo Cody the benefit of the doubt so I stayed...stupid idea. Next up was the completely unnecessary and unrelated and un explained girl on girl make out scene. Were they lesbians? Did Needy have a secret crush on Jennifer? I have no idea because it happened and it was over and that was it. Maybe they did explain it but I was trying not to gag at the sight of Megan Fox's thumbs, she has no knuckles! She has midget thumbs!!! Moving on...

The end of the film, and I won't ruin it because maybe some of you still want to pay $12.50 and hey, who am I to judge, takes place in an abandoned indoor pool in the middle of a field. Why is there an abandoned indoor pool in the middle of a field? I have no idea but unless there trees and shrubs grow really fast, its been there for quite a while. Jennifer has dragged Needy's boyfriend there and started to eat his neck (because it's the night of the school dance and she wants to look her best of course) and Needy pepper sprays her which has an adverse effect because it makes Jennifer levitate. Of course there is an epic battle between best friends and the boyfriend died because he has no neck anymore. And there is this band that plays this song throughout the entire film. You would like the song if they didn't play it throughout the entire film. They die also which made me happy because I thought to myself, " Thank god, they can't play that stupid song anymore!!!" Other thoughts I had throughout the film were, "Why is the first person to die in these type of films never white?" " Deers do not eat meat and I'm pretty sure if they did, it would not be human flesh." "Why is there a beaver present?" "Why are Fox's teeth so long?" "That guys cell phone is improving this film." " I should have bought twizzlers" " God, I need alcohol for this." "Neither of those would help me in this situation." " This is just awful" " When does Big Love premiere?" "When does Ugly Betty premiere?" "She is leaving behind, hair, saliva and finger prints and they still cannot find her." " I have to pee."

You could see this or you could remember what it was like to dissect a frog in High school bio. It's up to you.

First off, Obama has asked that everyone go out and volunteer on Sept 11th this year in hopes of making it the biggest day of service in history. There are several ways to get involved. I am looking into gardening in a park.

But that is not the funny part. Several musicians will take part in a tribute concert and among them is Gavin DeGraw. That was the funny part. Here is the story: Back when I was in college Gavin DeGraw was suppose to do a concert at my school. The proceds of the concert were going to a charity to aid the Tsunami victims. The night before the concert Gavin DeGraw decided to go out bar hopping across the city until way into the wee hours of the morning. The idiot showed up hung over on the Z100 radio show the morning of the concert. At the same time he was talking about his stupid drunken night of fun, his people were calling to cancel his concert FOR CHARITY due to laryngitis. That asshole was blabbing away on the radio when apperntly he had no voice to blab with! All the tickets were refunded and no money when to charity because GAVIN DEGRAW IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE.

So exscuse me if I have a bit of a hard time accepting him donating his time to help others. Now, no I do not know him personally and this is in no way a personal attack. This is about buisness and your professional behavior. You do not donate time for charity and then lie to get yourself out of the screw up you made. Mr. DeGraw is an unprofessional, unreliable, decetful, jerk who obviously seems to belive he is a big enough star to run around blowing off gigs. I have no love for him or his music.(Thats a lie, I liked his last single but I downloaded it illeagally because why the fuck would I give that shithead money?)

It takes a lot for me to get angry enought to boycott anything. But I refuse to ackowladge Gavin DeGraw donating his time for anything. Do not be surprised if he calls in at 6 am on spt 11th and cancels because he was out sucking down booze all night long. I'm just warning you now.

Chris Pine gets the cupcake this week for being Chris Pine. And because it's his Birthday. And also because his new movie, "The Carriers," (A movie about a group friends who try in vain to out run a super virus) is being pooped on. It was set to release this weekend but its being shoved back and only released in non-major cities. I saw the trailer and it gave me nightmares. So Mr. Pine gets the cupcake for his 29th birthday. I have given him a Star Trek cupcake which was made by Junk over at Happy Little Cupcakes. This blog is super fun and creative so make sure you take a look.

Blood and sex and more blood...

According to www.broadcastingcable.com this past Sundays episode of True Blood, (You know, the one were something super natural happens and then Bill/Sookie gets hurt and sucks the others blood to recuperate while Jason does something stupid and Lafayette makes a drug reference) was viewed by 5.3 million viewers.

Please to not get me wrong, I love True Blood. I mean, its not Buffy but its funny and bloody and I really love the Hoyt/Jessica relationship. I really hope those two crazy kids can work it out. But I am having issues with this season. It started with the open orgy in the field out of no where and the weirdness of greek mythology intertwining with red necks. I'm hopeing Ball can stay on the ball with this series but how is season three not going to be a giant let down? Or are they gonna pull a Weeds and completely kill the town and up root the main characters and start over. FYI, that did not work in Weeds and it certanly will not work with Vampires.

I love this guy. I mean I really love him. Who does this? Who wears this? Why does this continue to go on and on and on? Whats the point Jon? TLC is going to blur all your stupid shirts out from now on anyway. Did you not get that memo? Did you buy that shirt online while your wife stood outside your mansion gate screaming like a wild cat? Is this because she left you for her bodyguard? Is this because your doing a 12 year old? I just want to understand, why? Are we suppose to see this shirt and say, " Oh, well this totally means he's a victim. We should be on his side." I swear these poor kids are sitting around talking to each other saying, "Daddies shirts are stupid. Mommy's hair is stupid. WTF?" You know who I feel the most sorry for, the dogs. All the fake crying and bad fashion choices, dogs react to that stuff you know? They do. I watch the dog whisperer, I know this stuff. For the love of Christmas TLC, cancel this show already. Its a speeding train heading into a burning petting zoo on school visiting day.

Melanie Griffith goes to rehab

Melanie Griffith has entered rehab. Her rep says:
" She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy," says her rep Robin Baum. "This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago."
I'm wondering if this is a way to re-enforce sobriety? It seems like a smart idea if someone has a history of falling off the wagon. Best of luck to Melanie Griffith.

Stephenie Meyer is apparently being sued by a women who claims that Meyer stole concepts from her work. Jordan Scott says that parts of "Breaking Dawn" are stolen right out of her book titled, " The Nocturne." So basically Meyer stole someone else's shitty idea for a book and tried to pass it off as her own. I think we could all learn a valuable lesson from all this: Vampires do not glitter. And if you say they do people will sue you and ruin your life for attempting to bedazzle blood sucking night stalking immortals.
